如果使用 USB 连接，在不使用 USB 连接线连接设备和计算机的情况下完成 MF Scan Utility 安装，则在从设备进行扫描时可能会显示应用程序选择屏幕。在这种情况下，按照以下步骤指定一个应用程序即可停止显示该屏幕。
1.使用 USB 连接线连接设备和计算机 → 打开设备。
2.使用管理员账户登录计算机。
3.在[控制面板]中选择 [查看设备和打印机]。
4.右击设备图标 → 单击[扫描属性]。
5.单击[事件]选项卡 → 选择[启动这个程序] → 选择[MF Scan Utility]。
如果有与所使用设备兼容的应用程序，则可以指定并使用 MF Scan Utility 以外的应用程序。
如果将已扫描图像保存为可搜索关键字的PDF文件，则按照以下步骤扫描可改善黑底白字的识别度。
1.在MF Scan Utility主屏幕中，单击[设置]。
2.在[设置]对话框中，单击[文档]图标按钮。
3.选择[保存设置]中的[创建支持关键字搜索的 PDF 文件] → 单击[确定]。
4.在MF Scan Utility主屏幕中，单击[文档]图标按钮。
如果将已扫描图像保存为高压缩级别PDF格式，且通过单击MF Scan Utility主屏幕中的[文档]进行扫描，则部分图像可能出现空白。可以按照以下步骤扫描来改善结果。
1.在MF Scan Utility主屏幕中，单击[设置]。
2.在[设置]对话框中，单击[文档]以外的图标按钮，例如或[照片]或[用户定义]。
3.在[保存设置] > [数据格式]中选择[PDF (分割为单页文件)]/[PDF] → 在[PDF 压缩]中选择[高] → 单击[确定]。
4.在MF Scan Utility主屏幕中，单击步骤2中单击的图标按钮。
电子邮件自动文件附加功能支持以下电子邮件软件。

Microsoft Outlook
Windows Mail
Becky! Ver.2
Mozilla Thunderbird
如果软件为支持 MAPI 的电子邮件软件，可以在 MF Scan Utility 的主屏幕中选择[设置] > [应用程序设置] > [附加到电子邮件]/[电子邮件客户端] > [添加]，并在所显示的[选择应用程序]对话框中选择电子邮件软件的可执行文件来使用该软件。
如果使用除上述以外的电子邮件软件，在 MF Scan Utility 主屏幕中，选择[设置] > [应用程序设置] > [附加到电子邮件]/[电子邮件客户端] > [无(手动附加)]，并在扫描后手动附加保存的文件。
即使在 MF Scan Utility 中注册 DTP 应用程序，如Microsoft Publisher或Adobe PageMaker，则可能无法扫描图像。如果发生这种情况，从应用程序扫描或插入图像。
如果在单击 MF Scan Utility 主屏幕中的图标按钮前，与该图标按钮关联的应用程序已经在运行，则已扫描的图像可能不会发送至该应用程序。如果发生这种情况，退出该应用程序，然后在 MF Scan Utility 主屏幕中再次单击该图标按钮。
